Landscape Analysis
In order to structure discussion and provide examples of different approaches taken by other organizations, we conducted a landscape analysis of government and private industry open data portals created using OpenDataSoft. Factors considered included design, prioritized content, curated content, and site organization.
Stakeholder Workshop
I led a workshop attended by client staff as well as OpenDataSoft representatives to understand basic user requirements and business requirements before leading a site structure workshop and a page layout prioritization exercise. The results of this exercise led directly to the development of a new open data portal.
